Brief Description
In 2022, the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (MoWECP) strengthened efforts to prevent child marriage by signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with nine provincial governments and with the Secretariat Ministerial and the Directorate General of the Supreme Court Religious Courts. These agreements aim to enhance collaboration in preventing child marriage and addressing marriage dispensation cases.
